Silt curtains create a flexible, water-permeable barrier that extends to the base of the body of water, where it is typically anchored or weighted to prevent the silt curtain from moving. Our Type I DOT Curtain is manufactured to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation and other regulatory requirements for silt control. Silt curtains create a limited area for silt to settle, allowing most areas to remain unaffected by the negative environmental impacts of silt.
