Objective
A homeowner in Summerland Key, sought a solution to protect his private shoreline from accumulating sargassum and floating debris. Seasonal seaweed influx was affecting water clarity and usability of his waterfront property.
Solution
GEI Works designed and manufactured a custom-sized 18-inch Perm Boom with dark blue floats to blend naturally with the coastal environment. The boom was configured in two sections (38 ft and 71 ft) for flexible installation and optimal containment of sargassum along the shoreline.
